Does Early Treatment Provides Stability or Not?

Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics, Vivekanandha Dental College for Women conducted a Continuing Dental Education Virtual Progamme on “Does Early Treatment Provides Stability or Not?” on the 4thApril 2022 at the college. The one day academic program was accredited with 3 CDE credit points by our Tamil Nadu State Dental Council (TNDC R.NO 147/22 ). Around 181 participants from various colleges took part in this event. The programme started with invoking the blessings of the Almighty, our soul inspirer at 10:30 am.

The session was on the “Does Early Treatment Provides Stability or Not ?” given by Dr. Viswapurna Senguttuvan BDS MDS MOrthRCS (UK,Edinburgh) FDSRCS (UK, Edinburgh) MFDTRCS (UK, Edinburgh)., Professor and Head, Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics, Oman Dental College, Oman. He elaborately discussed about the timing of treatment , when to treat the patients with various discrepancy and what was the ideal age for treating patients and to select appliance and its outcome , stability of the achieved goal is very important for long time sucess .

It was followed by a question & answer session in which the participants actively raised their doubts & questions and clarifications were given for the same.

The programme was an brain kindler to the undergraduates/postgraduates and practitioners which paved way for upbringing their understanding and skills in handling and treating the patients. The CDE program on “Does Early Treatment Provides Stability or Not ?”received a valuable feedback from the delegates and enthusiastic participation of students from various colleges. Certificates were issued to the participants of the CDE program. The session was concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr Revathi,Senior Lecturer, Department of Orthodontics followed by the National Anthem.
